Presiding Bishop to have Surgery for Prostate Cancer

"Dear Friends in Christ,

A few months ago, through my annual physical, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After a variety of tests, consultations, and conversations with my wife and daughters, I decided on a surgical treatment course. On this coming Tuesday, July 31st, I will have surgery to remove the prostate gland.

College for Congregational Development

Parish members throughout EDOR attending the College for Congregational Development at the Notre Dame Retreat Center on Canandaigua Lake. The week long college teaches how to understand specific identities of congregations, and how to market congregations to others in your community.  We are all Anglicans,  but what does that mean in your specific community?  It's all about growing faithful, sustainable congregations in numbers, missional leadership, and spirituality.

Roc Pride Parade 2018

The Episcopal Diocese of Rochester participated in the Roc Pride Parade this past Saturday.  The Rev. Jimmie Sue Deppe took the lead, making sure our float was nicely decorated, along with registration and all the particulars.  Parade paticipants lined up on Alexander St. before parading down Park Ave.  Members from various parishes came out to march and celebrate, and the weather stayed dry for a successful parade!
