Friends,
 In my Convention address, I had mentioned the formation of a task force on Racial Reconciliation, Healing and Justice (RRHJ) for our Diocese.  After a series of meetings exploring ways to clarify our goals and organize this formation opportunity, I am happy to introduce to you the Commission on RRHJ. The Commission will guide us in studying, praying, and thinking of concrete ideas to articulate a clear vision. We are discerning a three-pronged approach and have assigned subcommittees focusing on top priorities.

A Wonderful Mission in St. Peter's Geneva

St. Peter's Geneva has invested in their community, offering. Neighborhood Night and Community Arts Academy on Wednesdays.  Kids share bible stories, songs, crafts and a hot meal, while the Arts Academy offers music & dance lessons.  The adult, high school and youth choirs also attend choir practice in the nave of the church.

The Ordination of Padraic Michael Collins-Bohrer

The Ordination of Padraic Michael Collins-Bohrer was held at Christ Church Rochester this past weekend.  The Rt. Rev. Prince Singh was the Celebrant over the service, with The Rev. Lucille Alonzo serving as the Bishop's Deacon.  The Very Rev. Andrew VanBuren of St. John's in Clifton Springs delivered a beautiful sermon, reflecting on the readings The Rev. Padraic Michael Collins-Bohrer chose for the service, and how the messages of the readings also described the characteristics of Rev. Collins-Bohrer.  It was a beautiful service that was well attended by clergy, friends and family!

Service of Thanksgiving and Employee Recognition at ESLC

Bishop Prince Singh presided along with Chaplains The Rev. Deven Hubert and Mr. James Kealey at the Episcopal Senior Life Communities Service of Thanksgiving and Employee Recognition, at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd.  President and CEO Mr. Loren J. Ranaletta and Dr. Sherry Ralston presented the awards to employees who have shown exemplary efforts in their line of work for 2018.
