Walk in the footsteps of Jesus: Holy Land Pilgrimage

Walk in the footsteps of Jesus: Holy Land Pilgrimage

with Rev. Lynne from St Paul’s, and Rev. Mark from Grace Cathedral

September 15 – 26, 2022

You are invited to join Rev. Lynne Sharp and Rev. Mark Stanger along with other pilgrims as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus.  Together, we will visit the places of Jesus’ birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection.  Our experienced personal guide, Iyad Qumri, will lead us in exploring ancient places, vibrant markets, and modern museums in a land that is suspended between East and West, past and present.

We will stay in comfortable air-conditioned guest rooms with private baths, eat delicious local cuisine, and travel with experienced local Christian guides who have led Episcopal Pilgrims through the Holy Land for more than 20 years. Rev. Mark and Rev. Lynne will serve as our spiritual guides offering times of prayer and reflection throughout our journey.

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

•       Specially designed private worship and Eucharist services in locations where key biblical events are commemorated:  Nazareth, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee, Jericho, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem.

•       Meet the “living stones” of the ever-diminishing communities of the local Christians, including an introduction to the vital ministries of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.

•       One-of-a-kind tours and visits to unique locations in Nazareth, the Jordan River, Jericho, and Jerusalem.

•       Opportunity to visit and worship with local Palestinian Christian congregations.

•       Insights into the complex present-day political and interfaith challenges and opportunities of Israel-Palestine.
