Curry stated following the November 5 shooting at the First Baptist Church, Sutherland Springs, Texas. “I offer this prayer for those who have died, for those who are suffering, for those who are still healing from physical wounds, and the emotional, spiritual and mental scar, we pray for those who suffer and for those who have died. Will you pray with me?”

Rev. Benson Receives Award

The Rev. J. Brad Benson, rector of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Bath NY was presented the Works of Love Award at the Catholic Charities of Steuben Awards Dinner, that included representatives of Turning Point, this past week. The Works of Love Award recognizes the extraordinary effort of a member of the faith community who collaborates with CCS to act on social justice issues and serves the most vulnerable in our community.

Jazz Vespers

CELEBRATE THE SEASON – JAZZ VESPERS AT TWO SAINTS The Episcopal Church of St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene, also known as “Two Saints,” is offering a new and exciting worship opportunity. The very first Jazz Vespers at Two Saints begins on Friday November 3, 2017 at 5:15 pm. The theme of this service is “Thanksgiving and Gratitude,” and will feature prayer, a contemporary reflection on the seasonal theme, and jazz musicians from the Eastman School of Music, with light refreshments to follow. Future Jazz Vespers services will be held December 1 and January 5.
