Diocese to Participate in March For Our Lives

On March 24, the kids and families of  March For Our Lives will take to the streets across the country, to demand that their lives and safety become a priority, and that we end gun violence in our schools and communities. Bishop Prince Singh and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester are encouraging everyone in our Diocese to participate in the local march happening in Downtown Rochester.  This would be a great opportunity to get your parish youth to gather, march and express themselves as Episcopalians!

TENS Offering Scholarships for Conference in April

Thanks to a grant from the National Episcopal Church, TENS is offering a limited number of registration scholarships to this exciting conference.  The scholarships are for rectors or stewardship leaders of small churches.  The Registration deadline is March 11th so send your scholarship request now to rfelton@tens.org. With four outstanding keynote speakers including, the Rev. Eric Law,  the Founder and Executive Director of the Kaleidoscope Institute and Episcopal Priest, attendees will be challenged and inspired.

Another great mission in our Diocese

I took a ride to Savona, NY recently to learn of a special parish mission supported by the Church of the Good Shepherd.  The Shepherd's Cupboard opens a Food Pantry each month to those in need of food and other items.  They are serving the Campbell / Savona School Districts, covering 92 square miles.   Click here to learn more of this great monthly mission!

Hundreds March Through the Streets of Downtown Rochester

Hundreds of supporters joined a rally at the Central Church of Christ followed by a march to the Liberty Pole through the streets of Downtown Rochester.  Minister Franklin Florence Sr. along with Roc ACTS developed this United Community Response to what they describe as Donald Trump's ongoing hatred and racism.
