Pride Parade and Festivals!

Dear Friends,

In just a few weeks, you'll have an opportunity to show that there are Christians who support, love, affirm, and welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, and who embrace the complex diversity of human identity being made in God's image. PRIDE MONTH is June 1 - June 30!

FLX Pride Festival is a fundraiser for the Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes' LGBTQ+ Program. The date is June 10th from 12 - 8 pm, at 35 Lake Front Drive, Geneva, NY.  St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Penn Yan, is sponsoring an Episcopal Church booth at the festival.  Contact the Rev. Columba Salamony if you would like to help staff the booth, share the love, or just be an overwhelmingly positive religious presence at FLX Pride Festival!

Southern Finger Lakes Pride Festival is also on June 10th. Hours are from 12-4 pm at Centerway Square, in Corning, NY.  Click HERE to visit their Facebook page.  Come for a day of local artists and talent, LGBTQIA+ vendors, entertainers, and interactive elements for kids both inside and outside of businesses on Market Street. Many area Episcopalians will be in attendance and are all encouraged to wear an Episcopal Church shirt if they have one.  Contact EDOR's Transitions Officer, the Rev. Virginia Tyler Smith if you would like to help organize a presence for this festival.

Mark your calendars for the Rochester Pride Parade, on July 15th at 1 p.m.  The Episcopal Diocese of Rochester is planning to have a float, and we ask as many clergy as possible to march with us.  For more information, Contact EDOR's Transitions Officer, the Rev. Virginia Tyler Smith.  Click here for a map of the route. You can also visit the ROC Pride Facebook page. Have questions about the Parade? See the FAQ page.
