The Friends of Historic Two Saints Inc. is a nonprofit secular organization recently formed for the sole purpose of raising funds for the maintenance and ongoing restoration of a church building named St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene located at 17 S. Fitzhugh St. in downtown Rochester, NY. The building is the oldest public building still in use in the city of Rochester (1824) and Nathaniel Rochester was a founding member of the congregation. Please join us for a glass of wine, a dessert and a jazz concert to raise money to fix our leaky roof!

The Soul of Antartica Public Lecture

You're invited to a very unique public lecture.  Glenn McClure is a composer and Arts Integration Consultant. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Eastman School of Music and Visiting Professor at Paul Smith’s College. His compositions have enjoyed a wide audience in the US and abroad. During his recent trip to Antarctica, Glenn used a mathematical conversion process to bring infragravity sound wave data into the hearing range, generating material for music that he hopes to fill concert halls with the messages buried deep in the ice.

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter visits Church of the Ascension Rochester

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter visited the Church of the Ascention Monday evening to address her constituents of New York's 25th District.  The U.S. Representative also fielded questions on topics that included healthcare, Medicare, the Children's Health Insurance Program, the Affordable Care Act, DACA, North Korea and gun laws.
