MISSIONPALOOZA 2017

It’s often said, It takes a village.  That’s the fundamental cornerstone supporting Missionpalooza 2017.  Missionpalooza offers an opportunity for youth to get involved in service projects in the City of Rochester.  Participation grew from fifteen kids in 2016 to thirty-five this year!  Various churches (St. Thomas', Rochester; Christ Church, Pittsford; Church of the Good Shepard, Webster; Saint George's, Hilton; Grace Church, Scottsville; St. Paul's, Rochester; St John's, Clifton Springs) gathered together this week of community service in the City of Rochester.

Press Release: Canandaigua Rectory to Become Homeless Day Center

St. John’s in Canandaigua has had an empty rectory for nearly 25 years, although over that time they’ve used it for the occasional meeting, offices, the occasional yard sale, and for storage.  Currently the dining room is filled with two huge chest freezers for the Gleaners Community Kitchen, but little else is around.  The circa 1850’s house is a solid Victorian structure in the midst of  the Historic District – a location that has hampered its use by other outside groups and programs.

Now Accepting Original Prayers for General Convention

Submit an original prayer for the 2018 Pocket Book of Prayers

The Board and Staff of the United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Churches is inviting submission of original prayers from each diocese to be used in a Pocket Book of Prayers to be available at the 2018 General Convention. The prayers selected for publication will be used throughout the world.
