What are some of the losses your congregation has sustained? 2. How have members of your congregation expressed grief? (These are just your subjective observations and ideas - you don’t have to have this exactly right.) 3. What are some questions you have about your own role as a congregational leader in all of this (your hopes, fears, wonderings)? 4. What might YOU need from your congregation? 5. What ultimate meaning are you beginning to make from all of this, in your work with your congregation? How is all of this related to your larger mission as a church? 01:02:44 Paul Frolick: Norms for discussion include:
Listen, don’t interrupt
Try something new 01:03:06 Paul Frolick: Take only your own story home 01:21:44 Stephen Crippen: You can also post questions in chat and I will see them. 01:23:28 Karen Anderson: I wonder if we could offer an opportunity for congregations that are creating music together - to share with others how they are doing that? 01:23:47 Paul Frolick: Karen - yes! 01:25:40 Pat K: Last week, our church had an Art and Meditation experience together between our services. A member of our congregation chose 6 different paintings for people to view on a Power Point, reflect together what they saw, and then each person made art that expressed their own feelings. The title of the experience is "Escaping your Mental Prison" 01:25:43 P Jue: We have a recorded compline (with music) which is avaliable for all.. And we are blessed with a Minister of Music who can do wonderful sound mixing (Thank you K Anderson of St. James, Clinton) but I wonder about the hunger of having more real time worship besides Sunday service -building active community... would it be of interest for the Dioc to have a library of sung psalms. 01:26:35 Carrie Schofield-Broadbent: FB Group for Musicians in the Diocese of CNY. Dio Rochester folks are welcome too! https://www.facebook.com/groups/241368087067387/?ref=bookmarks 01:26:42 John: We have started using Soundtrap to create small virtual choirs. Happy to share our experiences with that and other approaches to bringing our voices together in song. 01:26:52 Cathy Carpenter: Virtual choir can be low-cost and not too technical. A guy named Ben Lathbury has done music during quarantine and had a video describing how he does it using free software and very modest equipment. 01:28:58 edward kushall: edkushall@juno.com 01:29:06 Carrie Schofield-Broadbent: Here’s a link for DioCNY creates!
