[Anglican Communion News Service] Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Michael Curry preached at the wedding of Prince Henry of Wales – more informally referred to as Prince Harry – and the U.S. actress Meghan Markle, Kensington Palace. Prince Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth and sixth in line to the throne, married Markle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle this past Saturday, May 19 in a service conducted by the Dean of Windsor, David Conner. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will officiate.

Presiding Bishop Curry participates in Procession, Vigil to the White House

St. Mark's / St. John's Awarded 'Seed Grant'

St. Mark's / St. John's was officially awarded a grant from Foodlink, aided by funding from the state Department of Health’s Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP). 'Seed Grants' are start-up grants intended to help a non-profit or public entity begin a new or enhanced service that addresses the emergency food system and/or nutrition needs of low-income communities.  The Rev. Cindy Rasmussen was at today's ceremony to accept the grant of $24,500.  St. Mark's / St.

Racism Report Now Available

In November of 2016, The Episcopal Diocese of Rochester engaged in a year-long pilgrimage that involved diocesan-wide teaching, study and listening around the theme of Seeing the Face of God in Each Other.  This pilgrimage culminated in a significant visit from the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Most Rev. Michael Curry, who blessed, challenged and encouraged us. His visit was punctuated by a poignant liturgy of Repentance, Reconciliation and Healing at the 85th Convention of our Diocese.
