Episcopal Diocese of Rochester
Joy in Christ, a way of life

Racism Report Now Available

In November of 2016, The Episcopal Diocese of Rochester engaged in a year-long pilgrimage that involved diocesan-wide teaching, study and listening around the theme of Seeing the Face of God in Each Other.  This pilgrimage culminated in a significant visit from the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Most Rev. Michael Curry, who blessed, challenged and encouraged us. His visit was punctuated by a poignant liturgy of Repentance, Reconciliation and Healing at the 85th Convention of our Diocese.

At the same time, a Repentance, Reconciliation and Healing Task Force was formed within our diocese.  This task force worked hard and long to document this report after two full years of research and documentation.

We continue to study  and grow as people of faith in the Episcopal Church while making a difference in our immediate and global neighborhoods through loving action and advocacy.  The document is available for your to download here.  ANTI-RACISM 4:30.pdf.
