Coffee & Congregational Development: Sharing Resources for Growth

All parish leaders invited to this morning discussion and sharing session!
Dear Parochial Clergy, Wardens and Treasurers,
Greetings in this season of Easter! I’m writing to let you know about a gathering of parish leadership being planned for Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Incarnation Church in Penfield. At this meeting, which starts at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m., we’ll be hearing from parishes that have engaged in the process of congregationaldevelopment with the companionship of Diocesan Council’s CongregationalDevelopment Partnerships Committee. At this meeting, we will:
  • Hear stories from a few experiments in congregational development, both what has worked and what hasn’t
  • Discuss development within our own contexts, among those who have worked with Council and those who have crafted their own programs or strategies
  • Increase collaborative discussion across parishes
  • Brief overview of resources for mission, stewardship, training and other topics

This event is open to anyone who has participated in congregational development or is interested in that process. Please forward this email to those in your parish who may have helped with congregational development in the past: former wardens, current and former vestry, or anyone who could help enrich our conversation on May 7th. I hope to see you there! If you plan to attend, please register here. Continental breakfast will be available - please let us know about any dietary restrictions on the registration form.
